How to cope with insects during summer time camp
Campsite exists on highland. Please be careful not to be attacked by mosquito and gnat.
Once you are bitten by gnat, swell and itch on skin lasts for around 1 week. Please do your best protection.
Please wear long sleeve shirts and long pants (thicker clothes better).
Dark color clothes and rain coats like black or deep blue will gather more gnat. On the other hand, light color clothes and rain coats like yellow or orange will not gather gnat.
Remove toxin immediately when being bitten. (especially effective within 1 minute after biting)
Active hours:
The gnat at Tanuki-lake is active from May to September.
In summer time, gnat is active in the morning and evening as it is not hot, but inactive in the daytime.
Although when it is cloudy and rainy, gnat is active regardless of the time as it is humid, less sunshine and low temperature.
Use insect repellent spray that is effective for mosquito and gnat.
